fatigue strength of eh36 steel welded joints and base
Cyclic strength (50 × 10 4 cycles base) and crack resistance data of 03Cr20Ni16Mn6N and 12Crl8Nil0Ti steels and their welds at 77 and 4.2 K are analyzed. Procedures used to improve the properties of base metal and welded joints are considered. Fatigue Strength Improvement of Welded Joints of Existing Aug 06, 2018 · Fatigue Test Condition. In this study, plate bending fatigue testing machine which was produced by Yamada et al. carried out using out-of-plane gusset welded joints, as shown in Fig. 1.The nominal stress range was calculated using strain gauges, which located at 12 mm apart from the weld toe and 75 mm apart from the center of gusset in the width direction, as shown in Fig. 3.
Sep 05, 2013 · The fatigue strength of the welded joints decreases in the order of butt weld, non-load-carrying cruciform weld and boxing fillet weld. In the case of a yield strength of 800 MPa, the fatigue strength of boxing fillet welded joints decreases to one seventh of that of the base plate. High-Cycle, Low-Cycle, Extremely Low-Cycle Fatigue and Tensile and fatigue tests of the base material (BM) and welded joints (WJ) specimens were performed using a 100 kN MTS closed-loop servo-hydraulic materials testing machine. The tensile and fatigue test specimens were machined from steel sheets cut longitudinally to the rolling direction. Improvement on the Fatigue Life of Welded Joints by the F/M steel has a microstructure with elongated and banded martensite phase distributed in a ferrite matrix, thickness of 49 mm, and EH36-class strength and toughness. Fatigue life to failure (Nf) is evaluated by dividing such into fatigue life to crack initiation (Nc) and crack propagation (Np) by means of the 5% strain drop method.
In this paper, fatigue tests and finite element analyses are carried out on spot welded joints of mild steel (270MPa class) and ultra-high strength steel (980MPa class) in order to investigate the influence of strength level of base steels on fatigue strength and fracture morphology of spot welded joints. From the fatigue tests the following results are obtained:(1) Fatigue limit of spot WELDS- STATIC AND FATIGUE STRENGTH IIWELDS-STATIC AND FATIGUE STRENGTH-II Partial penetration butt welds may be used for static loading, if reduced strength is acceptable. On the other hand, a fillet weld is made away from the edges of the abutting plates. The joint is formed by welding the members in an overlapped position or by using a secondary joining material.PlumX Metrics Top Social Media Articles - ElsevierFatigue strength of EH36 steel welded joints and base material at low-temperature.
